I have a confession, I occasionally shop at Forever21. Ok ok, so this isn't much of a confession given the recent sightings of celebrities (Diane Kruger) who also seem to be shopping at the inexpensive fashion retailer. Whenever I do shop at Forever21 and manage to find something wearable I always feel incredibly rewarded. This white boho-inspired trapeze dress is one of my recent diamond in the rough finds. The flowy shape is ideal for hot summer days and the pretty lace panels are super feminine. I chose to layer a light fringe vest over it to make sure I was adhering to the three piece rule. I could have worn the dress with strappy flats and called it a day but why would I do that when I can just as easily wear it with these caged heeled sandals! This whole look makes me feel like a summery boho goddess!
Shopping at Forever21 is pretty similar to thrift store shopping in that you frequently come out empty handed, but occasionally you find that perfect trend piece you didn't know know you needed. It’s all about patience and perseverance.
It’s important to keep in mind that this retailer is best shopped for cheap trend pieces. I specifically like to look for solid color pieces because its less obvious that the quality of the garment is not always the best. This helps to avoid the misaligned seams that frequently occurs with the patterned items.
My other piece of advice for shopping at Forever21 is to go on an off-peak day and time. The stores are often overwhelming on their own but add the chaos of weekend crowds and the whole experience becomes anxiety ridden. The best days and times to shop are Monday and Tuesday afternoons. If you absolutely must go on a weekend then try and get to the store just as they open.
