A new season means the chance to experiment with new trends, and my wardrobe is itching for an upgrade. Gradually tiring of last season's dramatic sleeves and the cliché florals that always seem ubiquitous come spring, I am making room in my closet for fresh pieces and my favorite spring fashions.
Here are the top spring trends that I am most excited about!
PINK
Pantone's color of the year might be greenery but pink is the color of the season! All shades are on trend; fuschia, blush, millennial pink; don't be afraid to mix and match your pinks!
KHAKI
Is pink not your thing? Then keep things a bit more neutral with khaki. Khaki shorts, khaki dress, or khaki whatever! Wear khaki with some gingham for a super springy look!
GINGHAM
My favorite trend this season! I can't put my finger on why, but probably because gingham print reminds me of picnics and sunshine. Try incorporating this trend in shoes or tops or go for a full gingham on gingham with a top and pant look or even a dress!
RUFFLES
Normally I'd be a little wary of this particular trend, lest it makes one look like some kind of doll. But the pretty ruffle details on maxi dresses and tops lend to a very romantic vibe this season.
EMBROIDERY
Especially on your jeans! I love this trend and have already started incorporating it into my own wardrobe. This is probably one of the easier trends to try because not only is it everywhere, but it can be as subtle or statement as you want.
